Anti-slip rubber sheets are sheets made primarily of rubber through a vulcanization process, providing significant anti-slip properties. Their surfaces are typically designed with raised textures, granules, or grooves, such as diamond, herringbone, wavy, or dotted patterns. These special structures effectively increase friction between the sheet and the contact surface, preventing slips and falls or equipment displacement. They are widely used in locations with high safety requirements.
The base material of anti-slip rubber sheets is mostly made of natural rubber, synthetic rubber (such as styrene-butadiene rubber and neoprene rubber), or recycled rubber. Depending on the application environment, functional additives such as abrasion-resistant agents, anti-aging agents, and flame retardants may be added to enhance their physicochemical properties. These products possess good elasticity, wear resistance, oil resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and a certain degree of shock absorption and noise reduction, maintaining a stable anti-slip effect on complex surfaces such as wet, oily, and snowy surfaces.
In the industrial sector, anti-slip rubber sheets are commonly used for flooring in workshops, warehouses, and loading/unloading platforms. In public facilities, they are suitable for stair treads, bus steps, and subway platforms. They are also widely used in sports stadiums, gyms, ship decks, and agricultural machinery operating platforms. Depending on thickness, anti-slip rubber sheets generally range from 2 mm to 10 mm, with thicker products offering better cushioning and durability. Installation methods are diverse, including self-adhesive backing, double-sided tape, or specialized adhesives. Heavy-duty applications may utilize mechanical anchoring.
From a manufacturing perspective, they are mainly divided into compression molding and extrusion molding. Compression molding offers high precision and clear patterns, suitable for small-batch, diversified production; extrusion molding offers high efficiency and continuous operation, suitable for the preparation of standardized, long-size sheets. In recent years, with rising safety standards and the widespread adoption of human-centered design concepts, the functions of anti-slip rubber sheets have continuously expanded, resulting in special products such as antibacterial, conductive, and low-smoke halogen-free flame-retardant types to meet the needs of specialized industries such as medical, electronics, and rail transportation. Their colors are also becoming more diverse, including not only traditional black but also gray, red, yellow, and green, facilitating area division and visual guidance. As an important functional flooring material, anti-slip rubber sheets play an irreplaceable role in improving work safety and enhancing the human-machine interaction environment.
